The 2009 Everett C. Parker Ethics in Telecommunications Lecture
The Rev. Michael Kinnamon, General Secretary of the National Council of Churches in the U.S.A., delivered this year’s 27th Annual Everett C. Parker Ethics in Telecommunications Lecture.
- Patti Miller, vice president of the Public Policy Sesame Workshop, who received the Everett C. Parker Award for special contributions in lifting up the principles of the public interest in the telecommunications industry;
- Meghann Marco and Ben Popken, co-executive editors of The Consumerist, recipients of the Consumer Education Leadership Award for educating consumers via technology; and
- Samuel Simon, chairman of Amplify Public Affairs, former president of the Telecommunications Research and Action Center (TRAC), and fellow with New York-based Intersections International, recipient of the Donald H. McGannon Award for his commitment in advancing the role of women and persons of color in the media.
